Pittsburgh Doula Collective

We are a collective of professionally trained postpartum doulas serving Pittsburgh area families. With years of combined experience and expertise in postpartum care, we are dedicated to supporting parents through the physical, emotional, and practical realities of life with a new baby.

As independent providers, we bring our own skills and approaches, but we share a commitment to offering inclusive, non-judgmental support to every family welcoming a new baby.

What is a postpartum doula?

The first weeks of life with new baby can feel like a whirlwind of emotions, exhaustion, and a thousand new questions. A postpartum doula is there to gently support your whole family through this tender season. We help you find your footing with feeding, soothing, and sleep, while also caring for your physical recovery, your emotional wellbeing, and the daily household tasks that can feel hard to keep up with. More than anything, we offer a steady, judgment-free presence, someone who has walked alongside many families through this season and can remind you that you’re doing ok.

Research shows that families with a good support team in place throughout the first days and weeks following the arrival of the baby, have an easier and more positive transitional experience.

An overnight doula is there to ensure the family gets adequate rest while handling infant feeding, diapering, and soothing so parents can recover from birth and catchup on some sleep.
